I am honored to have the opportunity to share this extremely rare species of Jumping spider with you all. I have learned a lot about this species and am confident you will enjoy them. I look forward to making observations and documenting my finds with future breeding and tracking the growth and behaviors of this species. I have truly enjoyed how active this species is. They are busy and very social. They originate from the desert and are only found in two states within the United States, Arizona, and New Mexico. This means this species does not require a lot of humidity like many other species of jumping spiders. This species likes it dry. A few light mists of water once a week or even every other week will maintain a healthy environment for your baby. Indirect sunlight works best. Room temperatures are ok. I keep my spiders at 78 degrees at all times. These guys do not have a special habitat. If you want to create a more natural, dry habitat, you can or you can decorate your own how you like. The home does not have to be natural. It just needs to be more dry. They enjoy blue bottle flies when they are older, and right now, they are eating fruit flies.. You can introduce mini mealworms or small black soldier fly larvae when they are i6. These babies are large i5. . They are the largest species of jumping spiders in North America. These babies are unable to be sexed at this stage in life. They can be sexed close to maturity, both males and females look a like at the juvenile and young sub adult stages of life. ( All of the Basal Babies are Siblings and are Blood related)
